Danny was asked his thoughts on the #MeToo movement in Oct of 2017.

"Absolutely it's- it's kind of shattering a preconceived, uh, thing that's been there since the beginning of Hollywood. This isn't new. Everybody acts like this just started happening, but I think this started happening as soon as there was major producers, Hollywood, probably as back, as far as the 1920s. To come all the way to say would it be, will it bring full equality, um, that's probably still got a little ways to go. But still, it's amazing how big this keeps expanding and expanding.
And it all comes down to the same subject, you know, people with power, taking advantage of people who desperately need to find a foothold in this- whether it be music, or art, or film, or uh theater. And obviously that has to stop."
Danny Elfman and Nomi Abadi would begin mediation hearings eight months later, in June of 2018. They'd enter into settlement and NDA agreements on July 31, 2018.
